About Lucy

This uniquely marked girl with a permanent face mask is 'Lucy' ��� The shelter she is from labeled her a Catahoula blend - but we don't see that. We see some Shepherd, some Collie - a mixed dog for sure! But whatever her breed, she is sweet as can be! :) Lucy is friendly with people, and likes dogs that match her temperament. She is quiet and laid back for the most part, but likes to play chase with her doggy pals in the backyard. Lucy has a strong prey drive and will not do well in a home with cats, guinea pigs, birds, or other small animals. She has had a few accidents in her foster home, and they are working on house training with her. She is crate trained, which will help transition the house training in her forever home. Lucy rides great in the car and has good leash manners. Lucy can be a bit of an escape artist and a runner. She will try and slip past you when you're walking out the door if you're not paying close attention, and she is hard to catch if she gets loose. Older children that understand the caution needed when coming and going with friends is preferred. She cannot be trusted off leash ever unless she is in a secure, fenced yard or goes through more extensive obedience training. Lucy is not a big barker and enjoys lounging on a comfy bed indoors or out in the sunshine outdoors.
