About Princess

Meet Princess, a 3 YO, 45 lbs, sweet, love-bug of a dog who needs a new home. She was surrendered to PAWS when her owners could no longer care for her. They put OTC flea medicine on her and, unfortunately, it burned her flesh. She healed well, but has some hair loss along her spine. In her foster home, she's very active and no matter what the game is, she's up for a good time. Her personality and behavior can best be described as a playful, friendly, independent, affectionate, and energetic. Princess can get a little hyper, but will calm down quickly if she can get some cuddles, snuggle up, and get smothered with love and hugs from her people. She gets lots of joy from just running around and is quite vocal when she's being silly with you. She's fearless and very curious as she likes to check out any and everything. Princess is being fostered with two other dogs and is playful and friendly towards them. It's not known how she would be around cats. She lives with two young children, 5 and 6, and she's very friendly with them. She likes riding in a car and would make a great traveling companion. Princess is also housebroken. Her foster is working with her on leash training because she still pulls, so her new owner will want to reinforce this training. Princess would do best with an experienced dog owner who is willing to continue her training and give her lots of love. She could be placed in a home with a male canine companion with a proper introduction. She would also enjoy being an only dog in a family and with older children. She would be a fun addition to a new family who want a snuggle bug for a pet and who can give her all the love and attention she craves!
