About Angie

Angie was a rescue from a kill shelter 3 years ago when she was 11 months old. She is a sweet girl but has showed aggressive behavior to strangers. She does very well with those she trusts and views as her family , but can be skeptical of strangers or new members of the household. It is obvious that she was abused in her past. We have worked with her and has showed improvement, however we had an incident where she recently snapped and bite a guest of our house. The aggresion was not provoked. The bite did not draw blood however with children in our home now, we cannot risk the chance of an incident. She is very protective of us. We have been told she would do much better in a 'one person/one dog' situation. She needs someone that will have the time to work with her and give her the care she needs. She loves to be near her family , my girlfriend and I , and sleeps with us each night. She is housetrained , treat driven and knows a number of commands / tricks. She can misbehave when not exercised 2 or 3 times a week. She loves walks and can run up to 1 mile when its not to hot. She is a loyal dog to her owner and is content spending time outside or in our patio during the day while we are at work. She does well in the water and enjoys canoe / kayaking. she can be protective in those environments abd does best with a small group of people she trusts / is familair with. We are heartbroken over giving her up but just can not risk her snapping on one of my girlfriends children.
