About Vega

Vega is a very sweet, almost 2 year old pit bull we rescued from Philadelphia after losing one of our dogs. We quickly found out she is flexible, athletic, intelligent, hard working, and loves everyone she meets. Her biggest downfall is her high prey drive towards other animals. Her older brother, a 5 year old Amstaff, gets the pass because he has been there since she was a puppy. She loves to play fetch with a frisbee, tug o war with a rope, and go for long walks. her absolute favorite thing though is hunting for rabbits and other critters in the backyard. For the record, she hasn't killed any other animal. At night when she winds down she enjoys snuggling up to us on a cozy blanket or just lounging on her dog bed. She knows many commands because she is so intelligent. She is great at learning routines and certain words that excite her. She really doesn't have any issues in the house at all. She'd be a great companion animal for someone that is active and doesn't have other pets. Previous dog experience is necessary because she has a strong personality but a big heart. Fenced in backyard would be a huge plus so she has room to roam around. Home visit will be required.
