About Daisy

Daisy is a 12-18 month old hound/dalmation mix with a sweet, affectional, playful disposition. She showed up in my yard near the road in a torrential downpour with a 3' wound on her back but no collar or chip. She is 44 pounds, unspayed, but I am working on getting that taken care of to help get her adopted. Her shots have been updated and the vet says she is healthy and the wound is healing nicely. Daisy is deaf, but we have purchased a vibrating collar for training that will come with her adoption. She can bark but is quiet, unless you are eating and she wants some! She loves affection and wants to be in your lap whenever she is near you, but is often playful and goofy. She has shown no signs of aggression toward people or other dogs - you can put your hand in her food dish or take food out of her mouth with no reaction. Since she is deaf she is not distracted by sounds and sleeps soundly all night, nor does she bark at random sounds. She does need training for puppy mouthing and jumping but is responding well to the vibrating collar. Since she is deaf, she will need some extra patience and attention for training, but Daisy will be a great companion for a family looking for an affectionate, playful friend.
