About Hank

Hello everyone....my name is Hank! I found myself brought into a county animal shelter with both of my front legs hurt and my rescue pulled me so they would have to euthanize me. They sent me to their doctor and that doctor sent me to a specialist and I have had a long road to recovery. I had a fracture at my ankle in my left leg. I had to see the doctor a few times a week for almost two months to get my leg wrapped and checked but I was finally released from the doctor this week. My specialist said I am healed but it will take time for the muscle to build back up around my ankle since I was on crate rest for so long. I do not have to wear a splint anymore and do not have restrictions now but the doctor said for me not to be running and running like a wild man. I am around 1 year old and a lab mix per my paperwork. I am neutered, micro chipped, utd on all shots and on heart worm preventatives since I am heart worm negative. I love people and dogs but have not been around cats so I'm not sure if I know if I like them or not. I have a lot of energy now since I've been cooped up on strict crate rest for so long and need someone who will teach me how to be calm and be patient with me. I do know some commands and will sit for treats. I will let you know when I need to go potty but may have an accident if your not around to let me out. I am such a sweet boy and only weigh 44 pds so I'm not a big dog even though I do have long legs. I love to keep my chew toys close by since that keeps me busy and calm when I need to be in my crate. I still have some puppy left in me my rescue people and doctor says but I promise to be on my best behavior if you will give me a forever home. I have had a rough go of it for several of my puppy months so I just need love and patience for you to teach me things.
