Lovely Mona Lisa is approximately 3 years old, a little shy at first meeting, but so very sweet! She is good with kids (6 years and up). She is good on a leash, but again, a little shy, so she would need to go into a home where the family is patient and willing to help her overcome some of her insecurities. We are not yet sure how she would be with cats. Mona Lisa's foster mom has begun to slowly introduce her to other dogs, so if she went into a home with other dogs they would need to be kept separate while proper introductions are being done. She has been tested (negative for tick and valley fever and is negative for heartworm). We rescued this big-hearted girl after she was abandoned in her backyard by her former 'family' - she was left chained up without food, water, or shade. Neighbors did not realize she was there until nearly two weeks had gone by. This amazing girl managed to survive the AZ summer heat and monsoons, eating rocks and crying until someone heard her and stepped in to help. Even after all that, Mona Lisa loves people with all her heart. It is our honor to find her the loving home that she deserves. https://2ndchance.rescuegroups.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=13463375
