About Charlie

Hello, I am writing to ask for your help in rehoming my mother's dachshund. Charlie is an approximately 7 year neutered male tween sized purebred short haired dachshund who is Black and Tan with some dapple color mixed in. My mother suffered a stroke and is in rehab and will be transferring to an assisted living facility due to her permanent disability. As her daughter, I am currently fostering Charlie in my home but I cannot keep him forever. I am very allergic to him and I suffer from severe asthma. I have two other hypoallergenic dogs, one of which doesn't get along well with Charlie. He's a good dog, but he's very nervous skittish and extremely clingy. He's paper trained but is learning to enjoy being around lots of people and other dogs. He grew up around cats and he didn't bother with them, nor did they bother with him. He is also enjoying exploring outside. I am trying to teach him to go to the bathroom outside but it's taking some time. I have a few more pictures. I could really use help in finding him a good home as my mother is very concerned about him and wants nothing more than for him to be in a safe home where he is loved. Perfect dog for an older owner preferably female who has the time and patience for him and would love a dog that wants nothing more than to cuddle all day. Thank you. Kerri Hall
