About Carly

Adoption Fee: $50
Australian Cattle Dog / Catahoula
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Carly is a 5 year old high energy Adventurer! She LOVES and NEEDS hiking, camping, and the mountains or the beach whenever she can! She loves snow, and fetch and will do anything for a ball or frisbee! She has been raised with children aged newborn to 12, but prefers children who understand that she does not want to be climbed on, pulled at, or touched harshly. She loves to be active and would thrive with a minimum of one walk a day or adventures often! She can not be around cats, due to an incident where she was bitten by a cat that has now given her anxiety and defensiveness around them. She has no bite history to humans. She prefers to sleep in bed with you, and will lay with you when youre sick or sad. She is best suited for an active home with a fenced in yard. She does best with relaxed male dogs, or respectful submissive female dogs. No experience with livestock, though her breed has me cautious to place her with chickens who do not have a fenced in area. She requires certain kibble, but it is available at any store, Rachael Ray Nutrish Chicken and Rice, and her highest value treats are veggies and fruits except avocado, onion, and she makes a mess of broccoli!) Shes seriously a gem. I love her so much and will properly vet any interested party. Ideal home is one who will let us see pictures so the kiddos and I can know she is all right and happy. Rehoming only because of her anxiety of cats escalating, and I cant force my sons to give up their cats. Id rather go through this than them. but it is breaking my heart : facebook.com/ahomeforcarly for more information. Willing to travel across Oregon, SW washington, and Washington along i5 corridor for the right home. Rehoming fee, after costs to advertise her for the right home, will go to Multnomah County Animal Services as a donation.
