The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be house and leash trained. Most have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion Hi! My name is McStuffie and I am an adorable little Shih Tzu poodle who is 2 years old and I weigh 12 pounds. My owners did not take good care of me and I was running in the road and got hit by a car. A Good Samaritan saw me drag my little body to a nearby yard. I couldn't walk and was covered in road rash. I was taken to a shelter where it was determined my pelvis was fractured and I was really suffering from heat stroke, so I guess I had been on my own way too long. I began to feel much better and the great folks from B.R.A.S. came and got me and I traveled on an airplane to Colorado where Dogtor checked me, neutered me and said I am perfect. I need a full-time parent and I will be a great walking companion. I love everyone and am very well behaved so if you have the perfect home for me, please ask for me on your application.
