About Brock (east)

BROCK - A4111955 Hi, my name is BROCK. I am a male, brown American Pit Bull Terrier and Basset Hound. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old. I have been at the shelter since Aug 14, 2018. I think I must be lost. I don't know how I got here, or even where 'here' is. Some guy came into my kennel to try and put a piece of rope around my neck, but I don't know why. Then he tried to get me to go play- but I don't know what 'play' is. He ended up carrying me to a 'play' area where there were some other dogs. I'm kinda picky about my doggie friends, so I just kept my distance. Another guy came over and petted me - that was OK with me, I guess. I didn't go looking to play with anybody, or try to get petted; just wandered around. They had a little kiddie pool, and that was sorta nice. At least I got to cool off a little. These 'people' seem nice, so I'm nice back at them. They guy came over with the 'leash' thing again, but I don't care for having that thing around my neck, so he picked me up again and carried me back to my 'holding cell'. I don't speak human much, but I think somebody said that if I don't get 'socialized' that they're gonna have to make room for more stray doggies coming in, and I'll have to go someplace not-so-nice. Would somebody come and adopt me? I'm smart - I can learn - Please?
