I'd in a situation where I need some help. It issues a long story so please bear with me. About 3 years ago our tortie passed away. My flame point was lost. He was the only pet we had at the time. After weeks of him yowling, we adopted a Havana brown from our local shelter. She was raided from a home that had 23 cats. Felix did not take to her. She spent the first 2 months in my closet. The third month I was able to coax her out of the closet and into my room while I was in there. Little by little and separated by a baby gate, eventually I was able to feed them across from each other but separated by the gate. It took nearly a year to get her out of my room to see other parts of our home. It took another 2 years to get her to socialize with my kids. This past May my son was kidnapped and brutally sexually assaulted. This tragedy.brought our divorced family (immediate and extended) together as we work thru the legal system. Last Wednesday, my husband of 24 years died of a massive heart attack. My children and I are devastated. My oldest starts her first year in college next week. My son begins his first year in highschool. My husband had a year old Chihuahua. I was going to try to find him a new home but I just can't do it. He is literally all my children have of their father. He has bonded well with our pug and flame point. Our Havana brown is not doing well. She has pooped on the floor multiple times a day. The dog leaves her alone. We just moved into a new condo. With all of the trauma we are dealing with, I'm at my breaking point. She really needs to be in a home where she's the only pet. She is so sweet, when she let's you near her, but she is not well adjusted to our home. Please, can you help me find a loving home for her?
