About Dottie

High energy puppy... she will be one year old in September. Happy personality but nervous for a while in new situations. Loves balls and frisbees. A LOT!. She will flip her body in the air to grab a frisbee. Needs a young and very active owner or a family with another young, energetic dog and a yard for playing. Hasn't been around children very much so we are unsure how she will act. She is protective of her human family and barks at strangers. She loves our old cat....too much. She is unintentionally hurting him. We rescued her when she was a few weeks old but as she has grown she has become bored and lonely in our home and we are looking for someone to give her a better, active and full life. We are not in a rush to give her up though, we want to make sure that whoever takes her, really loves her. She has a very unusual coat... and although we had her DNA tested (Queensland Heeler), she looks like a cross between a dingo and a hyena. She gets a lot of comments from strangers because of that but we think it makes her special. She is a mid size dog and weighs about 35 pounds at her last vet check up. We don't expect her to get much bigger.
