About Ruby

Ruby is in need of a rescue or home where she can get the care she needs. I currently can not meet her needs here is a run down of her situation...she was attacked by a pit bull the day I reached her. She was severely matted and neglected. Covered in ticks and fleas. She has been under vet care since I got her in may. She has had 3 surgeries closing the wound around her neck. My vet said it was the worse wound she had ever encountered. It started off as puncture wounds but the skin eventually started dying and slothing off. 90% of her neck was exposed. We are now on mend and it's about 80% closed we are just waiting for the skin the granulate back together. The vet doesnt think she will need another surgery. She will be 2 in November and up to date on her shots. have her rabies tag and cam relay my vet information to a new owner so the vets cam communicate about her progress. She was raised with goats but currently lives with us, we have young children shes great with and 3 other pyrenees. She does great with the male but the other female and her argue over my attention. As for her care, she does require cleaning of her wound and we spray her down with vetrycin. She lives in a cone to protect the wound. I think that about covers it. I can answer any questions as they come. She can easily be a house dog or a livestock dog. She is on the short end of the pry spectrum and has lost some weight due to the location of the wound eating was hard the first few weeks after the attack. She can eat great now though.
