About Rula

August 19, 2018 Hello, my name is Rula. I am a beautiful black and tan female German Shepard presently at the Silver City High Desert Humane Society. I am guessed to be about 4 years old and my 60 pounds could afford to add at least 5 or more for optimum weight. I am up to date in all of my shots and must be spayed before leaving the shelter. This is included in my adoption fee of $120. I am strong and healthy with good vitality and a gentle spirit. I need to be with a person (or family) who loves and understands the sensitive nature of a German Shepard. I have been in the shelter since July 24th and I must pace my anxiety levels because the confinement makes me more nervous than other breeds. I was running lost until a nice animal control officer helped me off the streets. They tell me I must have had puppies but I do not remember them as it must have been a while ago. I can only desire a better future than what I left in my past. My nature is loving and sensitive in a tender way. I will deeply bond, be utterly devoted, and share new confidence and happiness with whoever becomes my person. I have shown no aggression with other dogs and am not sure about cats. I am friendly with people and children but will be most interested in You once we bond. I am a 'people' dog so am best not left alone for many hours at a time where anxiety can create problems in my otherwise good behavior. Being lost is stressful so new security and reassurance will calm me. I feel relief just thinking about it. I enjoy walking on a leash as long as I know you will be with me. I will not make a good guard dog even though being a German Shepard but I may bark to alert you or to get your attention. Otherwise, my spirit is quiet. Time is a pressing matter where I am.
