Nikka is a sweet, 4-5 year old Maine Coon, likely mixed; we can't confirm her lineage since she was a rescue cat from the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society 2 years ago. She has been in a household with 2 adults and no other animals, so how she might get along with other cats, dogs, or kids is unknown. Because she was a rescue and we were also told that she had likely been a stray at some time point in her young life, she does have some anxiety with loud noises (vacuum cleaner, thunder, etc.) and likes to find hiding places in the house. She has been an inside cat only, although we do let her out on our screened porch. We are in the process of selling our home and moving into an interim location that will not allow us to bring her. We are sad about having to find a new home for her and want to be sure that we give her to a family that really wants her. The adoption fee is to encourage only serious enquiries. She will move with a litter box and litter; food and bowls; a water fountain; a nice carrier; scratching post; and a few of her favorite toys.
