About Lindy (WI)

Adoption Fee: $350
Catahoula mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Lindy, a perky, sweet pup who's just waiting to wag her way into your heart! Lindy really seeks human approval and affirmation and will bond quickly with a family that shows how much it cares and wants her as a member. She's eager to please and will thrive with patience, clear communication, and positive leadership. Lindy's leash walking still needs some work as she has a very strong prey instinct and gets sidetracked wanting to chase backyard furry creatures. True to her hound roots, Lindy is high energy outside (with some training, she will be a great running or hiking partner!) and lazy in the house, where she is very content to lie at your feet or snuggle next to you if she's allowed on the furniture. She will fit in well with and make a wonderful companion for an active family with older kids (12+) or no children. When she is introduced properly and with a little time to adjust, Lindy gets along very well with other dogs, but she'll need a home with no cats. An ideal situation for Lindy will be one in which she has human or canine company much of the time so she doesn't get lonely or bored. If you're looking to add an affectionate, smart, beautiful young dog to your family, look no further; Lindy's the dog you've been looking for! If you are interested in adopting Lindy, please email [email protected] and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Lindy's adoption donation is $350 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
