About COCOA NEEDS RESCUE

Adoption Fee: $400
Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

REMEMBER Cocoa (aka Smoke)??? He's a 10 month old, 46 lb chocolate lab/pit/hound who was schedule to be killed on 8/29. His owners said they wanted him back and he was put back on kennel hold but they never came. So he is again in danger of being killed soon. We have no date yet. Shelter notes say 'He looks great! Temperament: He is a very calm, sweet, gentle, boy! He does have moments of activity, like when we first took him out of the kennel, he pulled me outside but he will listen, and once that was over, he was GREAT on the leash! He is VERY good with other dogs, approached others with low posture & relaxed wagging tail, very happy but also submissive to whoever he was approaching. He was good with the cat too!'. A Bucks County rescue will save her if a suitable foster or adopter steps up. Fosters must live within an hour of New Hope PA. Adopters may live as far from New Hope as you are willing to drive to pick up the pet. We welcome all serious inquiries. If you are serious about helping, email [email protected] and include the following in your message: 1. how you can help--adopt? foster? donate to the 501 rescue that saves this pup? 2. Where you live and a little bit about home (fenced in yard, condo, rent, own?); 3. tell us about your human and pet family; and lastly 4. why you think you'd be a good guardian for this pup? We have only a few volunteers doing this life-saving rescue work so we respond only to serious inquiries that provide the requested information. PLEASE READ: WE ARE AN ANIMAL ADVOCATE GROUP NETWORKING TO SAVE ADOPTABLE DOGS THAT ARE TRAPPED IN HIGH KILL SHELTERS BY CONNECTING SUITABLE GUARDIANS WITH LOCAL RESCUES. WE RESPOND TO SERIOUS INQUIRIES BY ASKING FOR A FOSTER OR ADOPTION APPLICATION. NEITHER FOSTER ME! NOR THE RESCUE HAS THE DOG IN ITS CARE SO THERE IS NO GUARANTEE AS TO THE OUTCOME. ALL LIFE AND DEATH DECISIONS ARE MADE BY THE SHELTER. FORTUNATELY WE WORK CLOSELY WITH THIS SHELTER, AND MANY OTHERS, TO HELP THEIR HOMELESS DOGS FIND FOREVER HOMES AND HAVE SAVED AND RE-HOMED THOUSANDS OF PUPS. 'The greatness of a nation ... can be judged by the way its animals are treated.'
