About Lavender (New England)

Anyone would be lucky to add this super sweet girl to their family! She is very gentle, loving, and loyal. She is amazing with children of all ages and will cuddle them all. She is fabulous with other dogs and loves to play all day. She especially loves to share her human's bed at night, but isn't a bed hog. She walks great on a leash, and knows her basic commands. That being said, she isn't a dog for just anyone. She's extremely shy and anxious around new people and you need to be patient to earn her trust. But once you do earn that trust, she's your perfect companion! If you are interested in adopting Lavender, please email [email protected] and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Lavender's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
