About Nana

This beauty is Nana, a classically colored Border Collie gal who is 3 years old. She weighs around 35 pounds. She comes from working stock, so she is all of what Border Collie enthusiasts expect in a dog. Nana didn't get much guidance where she was before. She is ready to learn obedience. She already has good recall. That said, she is already house trained. She also goes into her crate, only if asked, and settles down until it's time to come out. Nana is ready for a home who can go slow. She is slow to warm up to strangers, but is a total love with her own people. Therefore, she is not appropriate for a home with small kids. She is also good around other dogs. Puppies aren't her favorite, but she is polite. She does like to play with her dog foster siblings. Nana walks on a leash, but is a bit timid. She isn't cut out for a city, but will grow confidence in a patient home in the country or suburbs. She is polite on the car and will learn that it's okay to be on a ride. Nana will benefit from having another dog, a confident dog, as a sibling. Therefore, we are looking for a home that already has another dog. Nana has been known to be protective of her place and people. Her new family should know how to manage that. Nana is a sweet, quirky, super smart girl who is ready to blossom in the right home. Adopters should have Herding breed or similar experience. Nana is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. We do not ship our dogs. She is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
