About LENA

Lena didn't get the kindest beginning of life so we will be making sure that from here forward, it's nothing but the best. Initially, Lena had no real social interaction; she was kept in a crate almost all the time and was not met with a loving hand. She didn't even have a towel, blanket, or cushion - but it didn't take her long once removed from that situation to realize that cushy things are much, much better for this sweet pea. And, while her beginning molded her with fear and lack of trust, she's broken that mold and is now a happy and playful girl all full of smiles. Great with other dogs outside the home, she's happy to go for walks and meet new fur friends along the way. The person who rescued her almost a year ago from the troubled situation, however, believes that Lena should be an only dog. Lena has lived with a poodle who is 10 years old and has too much energy and alpha in her for the other dog who now hides from Lena. It's not that Lena doesn't get along with others, because she does; just that her mama of the last 10-11 months wants to make things easy on her older dog and all Lena wants to do is play! Some of Lena's favorite things are you, all people, playing fetch, anything with the ball, licking ice cubes, playing with socks (give her an old knotted sock and there's a great toy), snacks, laps, car rides, and if you're doing sit-ups, she'll sit on top of you (it's extra weight for your work out��%BD'��%BD| her way of helping you get in better shape). She's young and has lots of play energy so she needs a bit of an active setting and people who will interact with her, participate in play-time and walks. What Lena doesn't like is being left alone all day, and she doesn't like loud noises; she's quiet herself and is proud to be a non-barker. Lena is 2 year old shihtzpoo (non-shedder) who is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $420.00. We are accepting applications for Lena.
