About Blackbird

Blackbird is part of 24 dogs we rescued from a puppy mill this summer. She is a Yorkie 7 yrs old and weighs 10.8 lbs. Blackbird is an outgoing and sweet little girl who is learning that people are not so scary and that being petted and held is wonderful! Blackbird has been spayed and had her teeth cleaned. She is learning to walk on a leash, to come when called and that she even has a name! She is good with dogs, cats and older children. We are not sure if she is housetrained, but she knows what piddle pads are. These dogs lived in a 6x6 box their entire lives and never got to interact with people or go anywhere. It is a wonder she is so friendly and wants to TRUST so badly! Consider these dogs like you would a puppy, as they have a lot to learn...it is like they were just born!
