About Rocky

Adoption Fee: $100
Boston Terrier / Jack Russell
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Rocky Rocky is about three months old and looks to be a Boston/Jack Russell Terrier mix, otherwise known as a BoJack. This bundle of cuteness was turned into Animal Control as a stray. As you can imagine, once we learned about him we took him into our shelter just as soon as we could. He arrived August 9. BoJacks are generally considered energetic, smart and interactive companions and Rocky looks to fit that description. Rocky hasn't been with us long and we're still learning about him. So far we've observed that he's an active and extremely engaging puppy. He loves to play with people, other puppies and dogs his size. As for cats and kittens he likes their company, but tends not to interact too much. Rocky will likely be on the small to small-medium size, although it's hard to know since he's still so young. Currently, Rocky weighs seven pounds. This little guy is cute, cute, cute with his big ears, expressive eyes and beautiful brindle markings. He's going to be a stunner when he grows up. Rocky has been dewormed and has age appropriate vaccines. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee. If you can offer a safe indoor home submit an application online or at the shelter after a get acquainted visit. Application can be submitted online at: {https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application} . The online form may generate a 'Fatal Error' message after submission which is to be ignored. It is a system glitch and the submission HAS gone through. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet, a call to landlord if renting and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. Those who are not in a nearby community will have a virtual home visit. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted.
