About Phantom

My Free Spirit Day Foster - by MJ Bailon Phantom (A3886673) came to the shelter as stray. She had a home at one point, but their owner's living situation changed and they did not come to get her. She is a playful and energetic petite female, with very unusual color and markings. She is also very affectionate and gets attached to you quickly. She is social and gets along well with other dogs of similar size and level of energy but intros are not easy because she tends to bark loudly at the fence what discourage possible adopters. When allowed in the yard with other dogs she runs and plays in a very joyful way, her spirit truly free, living the moment and enjoining every second! On Saturday we went hiking together and then enjoyed a wonderful time at the Biltmore lakes, sunbathing and getting in the ���| She travels great in the car, just in the back seat without moving around. She is strong and fast, tends to pull on the leash a little bit and could use some training. She gets very excited meeting people and other dogs and expresses her curiosity and excitement by barking and jumping, a way that people do not usually appreciate, but that's trainable. It makes me sad to see how difficult is going to be to adopt her at the shelter where people move away when they see the exuberant and vocal behavior, without given her the opportunity to show what a wonderful dog she truly is. I envision her living with an active family with older kids and one or 2 fury friends to run around and play! She is available for adoption at MCAC East Shelter
