About Dylan

What a cute little guy this is! Dylan is a wire haired terrier mix who is approximately 8 yrs old and weighs 9 pounds. He was found as a stray living on the streets in Navarre and had been seen over a long period of time until somebody finally picked him up. We took him to our vet to get him checked out and the only issue he has is some hair loss, especially on his back-end. The vet thinks it is likely from a flea allergy or general neglect and expects it to clear up with medicated baths. He wasn't sure how to be when he was first brought into the foster's home and hid in the corner of the garage for a while. However, by the next morning, he was wagging his tail and following her around the house. He is very social and affectionate. Dylan isn't scared or skittish at all. He knows to go outside to potty but he comes right back to the door and barks to come in as if he doesn't want to stay out too long. He may still have an accident or two until he settles in but otherwise seems well trained. He doesn't currently care about playing outside or with other dogs right now, but that could just be an adjustment period from being on the streets so long. Dylan really is more of a 'people' dog than a dogs dog. He does like to sit in your lap but as long as he's in the same room, he's just as happy on the bed or the back of the couch so he can keep an eye on his person. He loves Belly rubs, loves to give kisses and sits up on his hind legs all the time. He does well with other small dogs but hasn't been tested with bigger dogs or cats. We feel that he would be best suited to situation where at least one person is home most of the time who can spend time with him and give him the attention he needs. Dylan has had a rough time of it in recent months and he deserves a safe and loving home to call his own. Why not set up a time to meet him and see for yourself how adorable he is?
