We recently adopted Diesel to see how he would do to prevent him from being euthanized. Unfortunately, he does not like children, and we have many of those little humans around our house. He is great with most humans, but it may take a formal introduction with familiar faces to get him comfortable. He can be intimidating, but would make a great bodyguard, companion, and dog for the right home & human. He has not shown his aggressive side toward me or my daughter, who is 12, but he has lunged and snarled at several other kids. I am not sure of his entire background, but I know there were some traumatic experiences he endured before we rescued him. Euthanizing him is my last resort. I would not be trying to rehome him if I had no children around.
