About Franklin

Franklin is an American Pit Bull Terrier MIX. Medium size @ 54 lbs and will be 8 years old this year. Franklin is currently in a foster home. Franklin had some aggression towards dogs not in this pack upon arrival to his foster home a year ago but after being neutered & extensive training and exposure to many dogs daily he has only had 2 dogs in the last 6 months that he met that he did not like! Franklin is VERY strong and walks well with a gentle leader, not so great without one. Franklin is super friendly & great with all humans (adults, teenagers, and small children) he was never exposed to an infant in his foster home. He is versatile in that he can be active and engaging when outside on walks then very calm in the house. He does not chew anything in the house and has never had an accident in the house. He is crate trained. He is NOT an annoying barker. He does bark when someone comes to the home, but just enough to alert you. Franklin has no recall, therefore must be on a leash when outside in areas cars could be a danger to him unless he is in a secure fenced in yard that is at least 5ft tall. He currently lives in a home peacefully with a cat and has had dogs stay in the home for short periods of time as well. Franklin is a total love bug!
