About Honey and Rocket

Honey and Rocket are perfect examples of why our organization exists. These two skinny, little beauties were found as strays in the county. However, we found their original owner. (Not their most recent owner.) Honey and Rocket were victims of divorce, and downsizing. The family was also new to Indiana and were unaware of the resources that exist in our area. They were given away 3 months ago to someone who seemed like a good pet owner. When their pictures graced the page of our Lost and Found Pets of Greater Lafayette site, the original owner was found quickly and she was extremely upset and felt horribly guilty they were in such poor physical condition. She only wanted what was best for them 3 months ago, but people put on a good show and are deceiving. Lucky for Honey and Rocket, they are with us now. We are looking for a good, safe home for them where they can foster or foster-to-adopt together while they put on some weight. Rocket needs to gain before he can be safely neutered. Honey is already spayed. They will be up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and fixed upon adoption. Honey is 3 years old and Rocket is 2. Both are petite in size and likely will stay in the 40-50 pound range once to a proper weight. They have spent the last 2 years together and get along very well. In fact, they even are happy sharing a crate together. They have lived with children of all ages and cats in the past. They are house trained and love to snuggle. They are very friendly with strangers and are pretty quiet dogs. Honey doesn't love to be alone, but as long as she has her buddy, Rocket with her, she does well.
