About Cora

Cora is a 1.8 YO sweet, smart, loving, happy girl who is looking for a family to love her. She came to PAWS from an emergency situation in which she and her litter mates were not safe, had not been taken care of, and had to be moved immediately. She is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. Cora is calm and likes to lie around playing with her toys after she's had some exercise. Her nose is amazing and she can pick up on anything. Cora is house trained, crate trained (will kennel up on command), walks at heel on a leash, and knows how to 'Sit' when you stop. She runs quickly to you when she knows she's getting a treat. Cora will sleep quietly in her crate and will do so as long as you're asleep, but would much rather snuggle with her owner in bed. Cora loves going for walks and car rides and enjoys going into stores. She'll need plenty of opportunities for exercise and play. She has separation anxiety and would need to be crated if left alone. However, she does well being loose in the house if you are home. She doesn't like to be scared and would rather approach a stranger initially to get to know them than have them approach her. Cora loves cats, but it takes her a while to trust dogs, but then is fine. Cora would do best in a calm home that can be a multi-pet household with pets her size or smaller and quieter with older children. We recommend experienced dog owners who are mostly home or could take her with them when they go out.
