We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're unwanted and at risk of euthanasia at a high- kill shelter. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Blossom...she could see that her temperament was so sweet and kind while so frightened in the chaos of the shelter that she couldn't allow her to be euthanized. Farfel's was immediately contacted by Blossom's rescuer...we were thrilled to welcome this loving and beautiful puppy into our rescue. It turns out that Blossom, at just about 7 months old and 8 lbs (expected to be approximately 12 lbs when full-grown) is so loving and so very sweet that it's been a fun and rewarding experience for her rescuer and foster mom. Blossom is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her and growing braver each day. If she continues her current regimen with her foster of socialization that promotes positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...Blossom will become a well-adjusted and very loving adult companion. Positive reinforcement group obedience class will get this very smart pup ready for a life of inclusion with her family. Through these classes, Blossom will learn cause and effect in her relationships with other dogs. She will also view her people as her leaders, therefore developing a desire to please and to be partners with her family. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of positive reinforcement trainers in your area. Blossom is a gorgeous, scruffy Schnauzer/Terrier mix puppy with a shining, cottony-soft coat that speaks of her breed mix. We know it's very difficult to see the cuteness of this pup. We've requested new photos and will update the moment we receive them. Blossom's coat will require a commitment to periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition (a salmon oil supplement is an amazing life-long supplement for coat care and longevity). A family that loves Blossom like crazy is exactly the type of folks we're searching for for this silly/fun, entertaining and very loving puppy. We also feel it's very important that she is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. Blossom will be overjoyed if her future holds hikes along Colorado trails enjoying the sunshine. Socializing with other hikers and their dogs will definitely speak to the engaging nature of this curious pup. We'd love a family for Blossom that spends lots of time at home.. and chooses to include a fuzzy best friend in their activities. Blossom can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community. She can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere with the assurance that she'll be a social and appropriate pup. Blossom will be arriving in Boulder unfixed due to her young age. Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to his neuter and microchip if one of our rescue vets is used. Blossom will be arriving on transport in Boulder in early on 8/17/18.
