About Diamond

Hiya! I'm Diamond and I'm so much more than a girl's best friend�'�|because I'm everybody's best friend! I spent a long time at the shelter in Lyndhurst, Virginia and I'm ready to shine bright in my forever home. I am an absolutely marvelous Pit Bull with a contagious smile and an outgoing personality. I might be short for a pit, but what I lack in stature I make up for in cuddles and smiles. I'm a great family dog and I've done well with kids and other dogs. I'm also house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. I'm currently being treated for Lyme, but my meds come with me if you adopt me. All you have to do is roll them up in pepperoni and I can take care of the rest. It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world, but I'm living up to my name and shining bright, waiting for my forever family to come sweep me off my tiny little feet. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
