About Duke - in NY

Duke is 4-5 years old. He was caught after running lose for two weeks. His coat was shaved and he looks like a Laberdoodle but it will grown back. He is good with other dogs, cats and farm animals. He loves people. He rides well in the car. He is a big baby who wants to snuggle with you. Duke needs an owner that is there for him. He does not like to be alone. He can be crated if he is on anti anxiety medication but he hates the crate. He can be kenneled but does not want to be left outside in a kennel. HE WANTS TO HANG WITH YOU. He would make an awesome therapy dog. Visiting nursing homes or reading with kids. He has lymes and is on antibiotics to cure it.. He will be neutered at the end of the month and ready for someone to love this The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html The adoption fee is $350 but will be going up to $400 as of 10/1/18 due to cost of medical needs of our dogs. We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.
