Josephine 'Josie' is an older dog we agreed to bring to our Labrador Sanctuary. When we agreed to take her, we were misinformed that she was an eight year old Labrador. Now that we have her, it's very evident that she is more Pit Bull than Lab. She has the high energy and temperament of a Pit Bull and is not getting along with our pack of elderly Labradors. She was fixed by Animal Control the day we picked her up, 9 AUG 2018, only to find out they also aborted her third trimester puppies. She needs some individualized love, a home where she'd be the only dog. She has a lot of life and energy left and doesn't belong in a doggy nursing home. Josie is just so wonderful, happy, and loving with humans. We're not sure that she's good with other dogs; it may just be this situation and the spay surgery. She does seem to come down after she's around them a little bit. She needs a good home ASAP. Our rescue can assist with transportation.
