About Wee Willie

Wee Willie is a 5 year old chihuahua who is looking for a very gentle, loving and patient forever family. Wee Willie was rescued from a less than ideal living situation and saw the vet on his way to the rescue for intake. His skin was tested due to his patchy hair and he was negative for mange and mites, leading the doctor to believe that his bald spots could possibly be scarring from a previous attack. Wee Willie is a scared and shy boy, but we can tell he has been someone's pet and known love before. Willie went to a foster home for a while and was mostly house broken, usually letting his foster mom know when he needed out, but still having a few accidents in the house. Willie is fearful with strangers and slow to affection, but once he trusts you will put his front feet on your leg to ask for more love. Willie does best being walked on leash beside you while he gains trusts. Slowly day by day he will make his way closer. First onto the floor near you, then on to the couch for snuggles. Willie will need a calm environment and a very patient family who will allow him to come around on his own terms and not give up on him for taking longer than some to warm up. Dogs like Willie who come from bad situations have a lot of love to give, but also need a lot of love to get there. Willie and dogs like him thrive from foster families who take them in knowing they are fearful and help to socialize them. Handsome Wee Willie is a small boy with a big heart and a rough past, but an even brighter future. He weighs 6.7 pounds full grown. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. He comes with 30 days of free pet insurance, and comes with a free vet visit as well. His adoption fee is $160. You can meet him at our location Tues-Sun 11am to 6pm at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021. Call for location on the weekends as we have off sight adoption events that some dogs attend.
