Our dog is Bella. She is an American Staffordshire. She's about 11 or 12. She's old. We adopted her when she was about 5. She has been INCREDIBLE for our 5 kids. She is patient and cuddly and loving. They paint her toes, dress, her, lay on her....they've done it all. She sleeps inside, but spends most of the day sleeping outside. She is just getting old, but still such a comfort to the kids. They really love her. This is going to be a super hard separation. Our kids have grown up with her. They sleep with her at night. She's been a service dog in so many ways to our kids...in sensory ways, in sleeping ways, etc. She is food aggressive with other animals, but you just feed her separately, and she's fine. She does great with our bunny and our pig - we never feed them together. She's pretty low key/low maintenance. She loves walks, but def doesn't require them. She can be playful when you get her excited with tug of rope or playing with her, but she's not a bit hyper cuz she's so old ; ) She's a great dog for cuddling, laying on, introducing a dog into a home, etc. She's pretty chill. She doesn't like fire alarms or cooking (triggers our fire alarm so she associates them together). So, she likes to be outside when we are cooking. We would want to keep her until we have to leave. But we are planning on moving in about 2 weeks.
