About Tallulah

Hallo friend, my name is Tallulah. I'm a little shy, but I'll try to tell you enough about me for you to open your heart and home up to a hound in need. It's been a rough road for me until Augusta Dog Adoptions took me in. I was a stray hound covered in mange and pregnant when I suddenly found myself in the care of some very loving humans. Just when I thought all was lost, my puppies were born happy and healthy and I managed to overcome mange and a lot of my fear and anxiety. My kiddos are all getting adopted and I'm healthier I have been in a long time, so I'm really hoping that you guys don't forget about me and that I can find my forever home very soon. I am a very slender and small Foxhound mix with a big heart and kind eyes. I am gentle, affectionate, calm, and sweet. I love kids of all ages as long as they are gentle and quiet with me. I currently live with two doggo brothers, Mr. Bates and Louie, and I really like them. My foster mom says Louie is the meanest Border Collie in the world and even he likes me! I'm making great progress with house training and crate training, and I'm already fully trained to walk on leash. I love spending time taking relaxing strolls through the neighborhood or at the dog park. Really, I just love doing anything with my family. I haven't been cat-tested yet, but my foster mom thinks I'd probably either try to play with them or hide from them since I don't really seem to notice or care about rabbits or squirrels. I've really enjoyed meeting new people and dogs and I would love to meet you! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
