About Sheba

I am regrettably trying to rehome my Mastiff/Pit bull mix. Sheba is 5 years old, spayed, and chipped. She loves attention, is friendly with people, enjoys children, likes cats, and plays well with other dogs she considers part of her 'pack.' Unfortunately, a little over a year ago, a dog was on my property and Sheba attacked it. Veterinary care was required, and Sheba was reported to animal control and listed as a 'dangerous dog.' Minnesota has some of the strictest dangerous dog laws, and I'm required to carry expensive insurance which renews every year. Due to family and medical situations, I'm not able to pay this insurance and it has lapsed. At any time, Sheba could be seized and put down. I am willing to also give up Jemma, Sheba's best friend. Jemma is a mild mannered female pit bull that loves to play with Sheba, especially tug-of-war. I am willing to give up Jemma to keep them together. Preference will be given to anyone who is willing to provide a home for both. Sheba would do well in most any situation where she has a secure fence to prevent possible attacks on strange dogs. If you currently have a dog, she will need to be introduced carefully. She has a fun, flexible, friendly personality and would thrive in any home that gives her attention. I am willing to assist with transferring her. Assistance with gas/travel would be very helpful.
