Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet. Cody 15.4lbs 6 years old Poodle/Maltese mix male neutered just groomed. Adoption fee $685. Even though Cody is one of the happiest, sweetest full of life & energy of a little man you will ever meet he had a rough go of it. We rescued him from a kill shelter 3 years ago when he was going to lose his life & we got him well & healthy then brought him back to WA & adopted to a lovely couple. Unfortunately life had a turn of events for this lovely couple & the husband got extremely ill & passed away suddenly & then his mum also became unwell so Cody came back into the rescue. This little fellow is such a joy & full of energy, so we consider him high energy so he absolutely needs a forever home where the people are very active, hiking, running lots of walks & someone to play with him & who is not going to leave him home all day. He does well with other dogs so it would be best he go to a home with another dog present in the home to play with. We do not recommend he go to a home with cats in the home as he will chase them. Cody loves to be held & given all the love & attention so he also needs a home who is willing to give him lots of attention. Cody is freshly groomed, neutered, chipped, just had his shots updated, we just got him another dental so his teeth are sparking & he is heart worm negative. We think he maybe poodle/maltese mix. We do not know for sure what breed Cody is & it's up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think he is. We have had Cody around cats & he does chase them but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children. As with all of our rescues & Cody's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Cody & going through the process and have read his listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Cody that meet all the requirements for this lovable little fellow. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Cody has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for his right forever home. **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
