About Bella

Hello my name is Bella. I am looking for a new home, as the family I am with now does not have enough time for me. I am about 4 years old and live with a family that constantly has anywhere between 3 and 6 kids in it at a time. I am not to fond of kids, as I have learned they can be very loud and pull on me. My mom tells me that I am such a good girl for being so nice to the kids with my low growl warnings. I especially love it when the kids play with me with the lazer pointer. Running after the little red light just makes my day! :) I also like to run after a good ball and roll in the grass. One thing that I enjoy every morning is to run out side to chase the different critters away (birds, squirls, and neighborhood cats). I have always been an indoor dog. I am very good at being an indoor dog, and if I hear anyone coming near the house I will bark to let you know. And if I need to go potty I will either follow you around the house waiting for you to notice me, and when you do all you have to do is ask 'Do you need to go potty? or Do you wanna go out side?' Or if your by the back door already I will just hope that you notice me walking back and forth between you and the door. I also understand 'Are you hungry? Treat. Do you want some water? Do you want some ice? (I love it when you hand the ice to me because it just doesn't taste that good when its toughed the ground first) Come. Be nice. Go home (which is code for go to the kennel). Sit and shake.' Though no one really likes to shake with me because they say I am a little too rough with how fast I shake. At home I am not allowed on the furniture or on a big rug in the living room. But if you were to ask me to join you or would like a lap dog I would be more than thrilled to join you where ever you are (floor, rug, bed, couch, anywhere). I am always following my mom around from room to room. I don't really like to be alone when people are home. I am my happiest laying in the same room that you are in. Hmmm, some other interesting things about me is that I am not a licker, unless you have something yummy on your hands :) I love to go on walks, but according to my mom I need to learn some manners. A few of my little quirks include... every time I come in from my kennel I have to smell the trash can. I never drink from the toilet...unless my water bowl is empty. O! and when your taking a shower or bath I will try to push the door open with my nose so that I can lick up any water coming out while your in there bathing. Which reminds me, I am not so big on bathing but boy am I happy when I get done with a bath!!!:) I get so excited getting out of the bathtub that I start running and rolling all over the place. I also like to be in my kennel because it make me feel safe. I am also an intermediate fly/bug catcher. I really enjoy catching them, but I also enjoy eating them too. Every once in a while they will sting me, but I'm tough. I have had some experience with with other animals. When I was a little puppy I was taken to the dog park. That experience was terrifying for me. All these big dogs came around me trying to smell me all over. I couldnt find anywhere to hide. I couldn't wait to leave. Now that I am much older I am still a bit on the submissive side especially when the other dog or cat scares me. My mommy says I am a big baby. We also had a kitten once, but my mommy got rid of him because he was a bossy mean little thing to me. I hope to find my next home before the year is up.
