About Buster

Adoption Fee: $275
Lab / German Shorthaired Pointer
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Looking for a fun-loving and friendly companion? A friend with a contagious zest for life who's up for any adventure? Buster Brown could be your guy! This handsome fellow was rescued from a kill-shelter in KY. He was originally found as a stray and was never claimed which is a shame because it's obvious he was at one time someone's much-loved companion. Buster is 2-3 years old and weighs in around 60 pounds. He has a beautiful and unique coat with naturally dark brown highlights and adorable ticking on his feet and chest. Since he was a stray we don't know his lineage but it appears that he could be a Lab/German Shorthair Pointer mix. Buster is honestly one of the friendliest, happiest and affectionate dogs we've had come through our rescue and we've had a lot of nice dogs! He adores people and other dogs and greets new humans and dogs with a smile and a tail that never stops wagging. This guy has yet to meet a stranger. He will be an excellent companion for an active family looking for a dog they can bring everywhere with them. He's very adaptable and not much seems to get this guy down! While it doesn't appear that he's had any formal training or knows any formal commands he's proving himself to be a quick study and is picking up on the routine in his foster home very quickly. He's intelligent, eager to please and attentive so further training should be a breeze. He's quiet and well behaved in the home, is crate trained and also appears to be housetrained. Buster's adoption fee to the rescue is $275. This helps to cover some of the medical expenses incurred to prepare him for adoption. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date with vaccines. Unfortunately, he did test positive for heartworm and is currently being treated. He has two more vet visits over the next several weeks to complete his treatment. Buster can go to a new home and start a new chapter in his life prior to completing his treatment provided his adoptive parents can bring him to his next two appointments with our partner clinic in Aurora, IL or bring him back to Pal's Place so a volunteer can get him to his appointments. Pal's Place will cover the cost of his treatment 100%. If seriously interested in possibly adopting this handsome dude, please email [email protected] 'ۢBuster's adoption donation is $275. This donation helps to cover his neuter, initial vaccines, initial worming, and microchip. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the pets in our care. Your donation also helps save other animals like Buster from euthanasia. 'ۢ Please email [email protected] for an adoption application and please put the name of the dog in the subject line. Please be sure to check your spam/junk folder; sometimes the applications end up in there! 'ۢ All of our dogs are in foster homes are can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, after an approved application has been received.
