About Cecil

Cecil has been with us 2 months, we are the second owners. Original owners got him from a breeder. He is a purebred Redbone Coonhound and needs to be neutered. He has not been used for hunting, only as a pet. Original owners got his first round of vaccinations and he had a bad reaction to them (can go into detail if you want more info), so no boosters have happened since then. He will be 2 years in December. He is 90 lbs. he is great with kids and other dogs (has never been around cats so we aren't sure). He is a hound, so he is very vocal. He is fully house trained and knows basic commands (sit, leave it, take it). We have to rehome him because our first dog is starting to show signs of agitation towards him. Because our first dog has been with us 5 years, we feel we owe it to him. Cecil has been a wonderful dog but the two are no longer good housemates. Cecil has shown some signs of intolerance to dairy and gluten, so we have been feeding him a grain free diet. His original owners only fed him a raw diet, but we weren't able to do that. He has been fine so far on his new food these past 2 months. If you'd like to meet him, we would like you to come to our house to do so. After that we can have him meet your animals (if applicable) to make sure it's a good fit. After that, you can take him for a long weekend to see how he does before committing. We want Cecil to go to his forever home this time.
