About Ranger

RANGER, 1 years old, 60 lbs, Verplanck NY Ranger is a precious boy! Super sweet, friendly, affecitonate - loves everyone he meets, adores other dogs and is great with children! Let's get to know each other a bit more... A volunteer writes: If you've ever wondered what a giant puppy would look like, look no further than Ranger. His gangly legs, soulful eyes, floppy paws and happy-go-lucky attitude leave no doubt that this boy is still a babe -- but it's clear he's more than ready for a family of his own. When we met, he was calmly lounging in his kennel and quick to accept an invitation to walk. When we stopped for photos, he plopped onto the sidewalk and struck a model pose complete with a cocky head tilt. His brindle swirl coloring is definitely a show stopper. Back on our walk, we quickly discovered this is one strong boy who knows where he's headed - mostly to look for a playmate. The staff did give him an 'A' in play group! He sat nicely for treats, then jumped on the park bench and oh-so-briefly laid his head in my lap. He was keenly interested in everything and wanted to explore new sniffs and sights. A visit to the yard showed that toys are not his passion although water spraying out of a hose was a brief attention grabber. He was much more interested in what (or who) was in the next pen. Clearly, if given a chance, his first love would be another dog. Could Ranger be the dog for you? Ranger is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
