Needs a calm, quiet home Children 12 years and older Best with calm dogs Hi, my name is Samoa and I am as delightful as the Girl Scout Cookie that bares my name. I had a family that I was part of since I was a puppy and thought things were going great, but they moved away and brought me to WCHS to find a new home. I am a sophisticated and mature gal and I must say the whole situation has left me a bit bewildered. I could share a home with a calm and respectful dog; I used to live with a dog buddy named Twix. I should not live with any cats, though because they overwhelm me a bit and make me nervous. Any children in my home should be 12 years or older because they need to be able to understand I need things to stay calm and take things slowly. I am quite the sweetheart once you give me some time to get comfortable. I go well with handling as long as things go slow and easy; I am always up for a neck rub or a scratch behind the ears. I am very smart and I know several cues; if you ask me to sit, stay or lay down I can demonstrate how gently I accept treats. I have been described as friendly, playful, tolerant, gentle and affectionate. I have also been called an 81-pound 'lap-lover' although I am happy to simply lay next to you. I enjoy walks to soak in all of the wonderous sights and sounds of the great outdoors and also like to play fetch in the yard. I am searching for a home to spend my golden years in; if you give me a chance I promise to be loyal to you forever.
