About Roscoe

Meet Roscoe! *Only experienced Dane owners will be considered for his adoption* This distinguished gent is a 4.5 year old Harlequin Great Dane that weighs in at 125 pounds...of solid muscle! Roscoe was a shy and nervous guy when he came into rescue and thanks to the dedication of his foster family, he has since blossomed into a confident, goofy, very loving dog who needs a little extra TLC to continue down that current path. He really loves to spend time with his foster family and gets a little worried when they leave him alone, but they are helping him understand that just because they leave, doesn't mean they aren't coming back! An ideal home would be one where he could have a constant companion or wouldn't be left alone for long periods of time. He currently shares his home with 2 human brothers (one big, one small) and 2 other Great Danes (one male, one female). Roscoe is a ladies man through and through! He prefers the company of female dogs over males, and he definitely prefers not to share his humans with cats! He does great with kids in their early to mid teens and because of his size and energy level, we advise a close eye be kept on him if there are smaller children present (it IS like having a pony in the house)! Roscoe is learning to walk on a leash but will need more guidance in that department, so a home with a fenced yard would be perfect...he loves to run and play!! Oh, and car rides are his fave! Roscoe is house trained, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.
