About Leelah

Hi, My name is Leelah. I am a 35lb dachshund mix. My mother was a bulldog/pit, and my dad was a pure bred long-haired dachshund. I am about 2 years old and I shouldn't grow any larger. I am the sweetest pup around, but it takes me a little extra time to warm up because I am COMPLETELY DEAF! ���S I have learned hand signals and I am doing very well with them. Because I am deaf I need someone whom I can follow around and be with most of the day. I have some separation anxiety and bark when I am alone, but with the company of another dog I am completely trained to sleep all day long. I am really good at it! At first I am anxious riding in the car, but once I am attached to my person I do very well in cars and on walks. I would do better with older children who understand I need space until I have warmed up. I am spayed and up to date on all my vaccinations, and my adoption fee is $250, which comes with a two-week trial period.
