About Harriet

Harriet was saved from a fast kill dog pound. She is a little female chihuahua mix around 6 years old and weighing 9 pounds. Harriet is white with red spots. She is a happy, sweet, playful little girl. She likes toys and playing with other small dogs. She likes to sit on your lap and be loved and petted. She gives lots of kisses. Harriet is a bit shy of new people but warms up quickly. Whoever adopts her needs to provide additional socialization. Harriet is fine with cats, in fact she appears to be scared of them - she wants nothing to do with our foster kittens. Harriet is crate trained and otherwise good in the house. She needs work with house training. Harriet is small and delicate. She cannot cannot handle rough treatment by children or big dogs. She must be protected from mean dogs and large predators (coyotes, owls, eagles) that would consider her a meal. Harriet must be an indoor dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a secure fenced yard to sun herself. Harriet is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She has been treated for heartworms with the 'slow kill' method. She is still testing positive, but any remaining worms should die off within the next 6 months. Harriet has a $100.00 adoption fee.
