About Penelope

URGENT: Penelope is a gorgeous sweet 2 year old girl who was surrendered at the shelter along with her one year old daughter Pearl after they were both used as baby-making machines. Her owner said she lived with multiple children of various ages and with other dogs. She was very interested in everything around her. While she and her daughter seem to take comfort in each other, they do not seem inseparable. And when let off leash, they roamed around separately, searching the playlot and checking in with the volunteers. Penelope loved snuggling and sitting on volunteers' laps. She needs an adopter or foster so her life will be spared. She is at a high kill shelter that is full and dogs are being killed. Fostering is free of charge and everything is provided within a 90 mile radius of Chicago. Volunteers are willing to help with transport.
