Jax showed up on our doorstep with a bad abcess. Possibly animal fight or coyote attack. We took him to the vet where he received surgery. We nursed him back to health and have tried with no luck to find his owners. We are unable to keep him because our dogs do not like him. He also is very leary of them. But he may get along with the right dog. At this time he has to share family time with the dogs. While they are out he is in a bedroom and same for them while he is out. Which isn't fair to any of them. He is a very loving and vocal cat. He loves people and he really wants to spend time with you. We really care about him and want him to go to the right person. With the horror stories of bait animals and also the fact that he is black I really need to know he will be okay. That is the only reason I am charging the adoption fee. This is a nice pic but doesn't show just how beautiful he is. Hard to get a good pic because he just wants to be close and be petted. Also the only reason I put not good with kids is because he does like to try to climb on you. And I think because of whatever happened and because he knows there are dogs somewhere he always has his claws out ready to run. With constant attention I believe this will easily be corrected once he feels completely safe. I truly have never seen a more loving cat. Also there will be no fee if a rescue group can take him in. Also you cant tell from the picture but he is completely black. No white anywhere.
