About Dante

Dante was owner surrender dog when he was only 4m old. Dante is about 8m old now and fully potty trained, crate trained, great house manners, does not chew (I still crate him if I leave the house for just in case), does not mark, barks on occasion when he plays with other dogs. Great with all dogs. Does amazing with all of my dogs. He loves to play so he would be great fit for a family that have another playful dog. He does require large fenced in yard so he can do his zoomies that he loves performing. He would do great in cold weather. Here down south he can not last long outside. He does zoomies for about 30 minutes and he wants to get inside because he is too hot. He loves to cuddle and talk. He does amazing around my 4 year old toddler. He does not knock him over or overwhelm him. He does not take or chew his toys. With all that being said I feel comfortable adopting dante into family with young kids. He is stubborn at times but he does learn quick. He is very easy to train and very smart. He knows basic commands such as sit and shake. He would be good agility dog and dog that is easy to train to do tricks. On scale from 1 to 5 his shedding is about 2-3. He does not shed as much as huskies do and he is smaller than husky in size. He is designers breed called Ausky (Husky - Australian Shepard mix). Many people fall for looks for this mix breed that is known for beautiful piercing eyes etc but when the puppy stage hits many give up and surrender. Dante is not hard dog to handle and especially now that he had proper training he would do amazing in his new home. Dante is not good with cats. He does have a somewhat pray drive present due to australian shepard breed. He will chase small animals that are NOT dogs. He does great with small dogs. I have 5 small dogs that he gets along with. Dante is located in Mississippi but he is available for adoption outside of the state. Transportation can be organized as long as home is suitable for him. To adopt dante you need to follow protocol of Smiths Den Dog Rescue group which is 1. adoption application (must be approved in order to proceed) 2. home check 3. vet reference check If all this is approved we can proceed with dog's transport and finalizing adoption with the contract.
