About Cooper

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Adoption Fee: $100 Age: 1 Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Cooper is a super sweet, excitable 1 year old Lab mix pup who is looking for a home that will share his zest for life. Fuzzy Pawz Rescue took this boy in after he ended up in Boise from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. This boy is in love with life and is a typical excitable puppy and is still learning the rules. Cooper has two speeds - nap or play; he is a high energy boy and will require that his humans be the same. But no matter what he is doing with his people napping on the couch or out for a run he gives it his all. To say he is fun is an understatement; this boy is the bomb! He gets along great with other dogs; currently living with a 15 year old Pit Bull and a small Beagle he does great with both; he loves to play with them but is respectful and gentle. He would do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog to help keep him occupied. We aren't sure of his background but we have notice a lot of things seem new to him; he is terrified of garbage trucks and will try to get out of his collar and run if one passes so a slip lead is necessary for this boy but otherwise he behaves well on walks. Cooper would greatly benefit from a puppy class; while he is house trained and pretty good in the house he is still a lot of puppy. He will jump up when you get home in his excitement and he does need to be in a hard sided crate while you are gone as he will get bored (he's chewed up a pair of flip flops and a dog bed). He will need daily exercise - running, biking, hiking, long walks. He is smart and eager to please so some structure and some positive reward training and he will be one amazing companion for life!
